Legal Resources
A print legal reference collection is available for use by the public that includes both primary and secondary legal materials. Some highlights of the print collection include the South Carolina Code of Laws and the Code of Regulations, Rules of Court for all South Carolina state and federal courts, case reporters for South Carolina state and federal courts, South Carolina Jurisprudence, and a number of treatises on a variety of legal topics.

Enjoy free access from within any Library System location to the online resource Westlaw, the premier legal research website. Westlaw contains links to cases and statutes from all fifty states and the federal level, as well as numerous secondary resources to help with legal research. The Hughes Main Library has librarians available who are trained in legal research techniques and are available to assist with legal research by appointment or on a walk-in basis.

U.S. Federal Documents
Greenville County Library System is a congressionally designated member of the Federal Depository Library Program. This program distributes government documents free of cost to the Greenville County Library System and other libraries throughout the United States. Documents available include: census information, the US Code of Laws, agriculture statistics, the public papers of the Presidents, the budget of the United States government, the economic report of the President, the Occupational Outlook Handbook, the Social Security Handbook, and more.
