From the front entrance, take the stairs or elevator (to the right) to the second level. From stairs proceed left or, from elevator proceed right. The SC Room is on the right.

Local History & Genealogy
Staffed by experienced genealogists and historians, the South Carolina Room features an extensive collection of genealogy and local history materials, many of which are searchable in our online catalog. While the archive’s focus is South Carolina history, particularly Greenville County and surrounding Upstate counties, visitors will find hundreds of items related to the history of many other locations within the United States.
