Summer Reading

Summer Reading 2020

We are so proud of you, Summer Readers. Didn't participate during 2020? Don't worry. Summer Reading happens every year, and we're already busy planning an exciting Summer Reading 2021 filled with great events, entertainment, prizes, and of course, reading!

Why is Summer Reading important?

Children who participate in their public library’s summer reading program outperform those who don’t participate by:

  • having better reading scores by the end of third grade
  • scoring higher on assessment tests at the beginning of the school year
  • scoring higher on standardized tests
Read print or ebooks

Ebooks, including Beginning Readers, are available with an adult or unrestricted juvenile library card on OverDrive and Hoopla.

Ebooks for young children are also available on BookFlix and Tumblebooks.
