Summer Readers who completed the baby, kids, or teen Summer Reading challenge and received a voucher for a ticket to the Greenville Drive Reading All-Star Game on Sunday, August 18. Summer Reading T-Shirt Ordering is Now Closed.

The Greenville County Library System does not profit from the sale of t-shirts. Cost of t-shirt production is partially underwritten by the Friends of the Greenville County Library System. Proceeds from t-shirt sales help to fund Greenville County Library System classes and events.

Palmetto Basics Activities Challenge
  1. Register online.
  2. Pick up or print out your Summer Reading log.
  3. Complete 10 Palmetto Basics activities with your child and log them in their online Summer Reading profile.
Prizes
  • One board book per household, daycare, or group. Titles may vary.
  • Ticket voucher to the Greenville Drive Reading All-Star (RAS) Celebration Game
While supplies last. Substitutes may be offered. Saturday, July 27 is the last day to collect your completion prize.
Reading Challenge
  1. Register online.
  2. Pick up or print out your Summer Reading log.
  3. Read or listen for 12 hours or read 48 books and log your success in your online Summer Reading profile.

Be entered to win a family four pack of tickets to Opening Night for the Swamp Rabbit Hockey Team.
Grand Prize Drawing (1 winner)
Be entered to win a one-year household membership to the Greenville Zoo, family membership to the Roper Mountain Science Center, a REI camp chair and cooler, a SC State Inland Park Pass donated by Greenville County Soil & Water Conservation District, and a pair of tickets to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at The Peace Center.

Babies, children, teens & adults — everyone! Summer Reading is free, open to the public and does not require a Library card. Didn't participate during 2019? Don't worry. Summer Reading happens every year, and we're already busy planning an exciting Summer Reading 2020 filled with great events, entertainment, prizes, and of course, Reading!
Can I count books that I read on my computer or e-reader?
Of course!
Where do I pick up prizes?
Summer Readers pick up the prizes they've earned at whichever Library System location is most convenient. The last day to collect prizes during Summer Reading 2019 was Saturday, July 27.
Can I count audiobooks?
You bet!
Can I join the program after its official start date?
