Teenville, the teen area of the Hughes Main Library offers books, magazines, audiobooks, and computer games. Comfortable seating and study areas are provided. A teen librarian is available to offer Reader's Advisory assistance and research. A Teen Advisory Board for ages 13 and up offers opportunities for teens to have a say in library programs and materials. A teen summer reading program is offered each year, along with a variety of activities and events.

Hang ten! Make Waves at your library when you sign up for Teen Summer Reading. Teens ages 13 to 18 are invited to read great books and join in fun events throughout the summer. Learn great crafts - like how to make jewelry and sandals. Don't go to the pool or beach this summer without bringing along your DIY beach ball or decorated Frisbee. Cool off with board games and Nintendo Wii at one of the library's many indoor game days! |

Defensive Driving for Teens: Alive at 25

Alive at 25 is a survival course developed by the National Safety Council, taught by off-duty deputy sheriffs and municipal police officers, and is designed to prevent the #1 killer of teens, automobile crashes.
