Greenville County Library System - Teens

Teenville, the teen area of the Hughes Main Library offers books, magazines, audiobooks, and computer games. Comfortable seating and study areas are provided. A teen librarian is available to offer Reader's Advisory assistance and research. A teen summer reading program is offered each year, along with a variety of activities and events.

The Newbery Medal has been given to the most distinguished American children’s book each year since 1922. Vote for your favorite Newbery medalist or honor book. Volunteers (ages 12-17) may also register to be on the film committee. Vote and register at any library location or email jbabb@greenvillelibrary.org now through April 30th. The Teen Librarian will contact committee volunteers to assist her in transforming the winning title into a video to be entered into the national 90-Second Newbery Film Festival. Questions?
