Summer Reading starts May 30
Get your pack ready — it’s time to head out into the field as the Greenville County Library System hosts the 2024 Summer Reading challenge. Summer Reading promotes reading and offers great prizes and fun events for all kids of all ages. Your adventure starts now. All you have to do is read!
Early registration opens May 15.
How It Works
READ
- Kids read for six hours or read 24 books. Audiobooks count too!
- Teens read for six hours. Audiobooks count too.
- Babies can complete 10 Palmetto Basics activities.
LOG YOUR HOURS
- Register online through the ReadSquared app or at greenvillelibsc.readsquared.com to track your progress.
- Stop by any library location to pick up a reading Log and Activity Book.
- Download a Kid and Teen Log or Baby Log to print at home.
PICK UP YOUR PRIZES
Pick up your prizes at any library location by July 27.

You may be chosen to:
- Be an honorary captain (any age)
- Be the honorary bat boy/girl (ages 14+)
- Run the bases with Reedy Rip’It
following the game

T-shirts go on sale here at 8:30a Apr 29.
Adult and youth sizes are available for $15
while supplies last. Wear your shirt to the
kickoff events and all summer long!
