The society sponsors 2 or 3 Contra dances a month. The dances are usually the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month at River Falls Lodge, near Jones Gap State Park. Contra dancing is a traditional American dance form derived from English Country dancing. It is an active social dance appropriate for all ages. No alcohol. Call the Harvest Moon Hotline for upcoming dance dates, bands, and callers. Also, check the hotline for dance cancellations due to inclement weather which will be recorded by 2:00 pm the day of the dance.
