Join the Friends

The Friends of the Greenville County Library System is a 501(c)(3)
organization that provides financial and volunteer support for public
programs and publications of the Greenville County Library System
through various fundraising projects. When you support the Friends
of the Library, you help to make these programs possible:

- Family Fridays
- The Amazing Read author appearances
- Summer Reading Program entertainers
- Greenville Library Staff Education fund
- Endowment fund for future library programs

If you're not a member already, please consider joining the Friends
of the Library by completing the membership form. (Also available
at your local library). Along with the sincere thanks of your
community, being a Friend comes with benefits such as:

- Admission to First Thursday Book Sales
- Admission to the opening day of the bi-annual book sales
- The option of having the Library's bi-monthly newsletter
mailed to your home or office
- A 10% discount on all your purchases at the Friends Shop!

The Friends Shop

Located in the gallery of the Hughes Main Library, the Friends Shop
is open year-round and sells books in nearly new condition, as well as
retail items such as greeting cards, stationary items and unique gifts. To

Friends Shop Sidewalk Sale
Saturday, June 15 | 10:00a-2:00p
Join us at the Hughes Main Library where we will be selling used
DVDs and VHS, music CDs, audiobooks and magazines at "must go"
prices!

First Thursday Used Book Sale
9:00a-12:00p
Merovan Center, 1200 Woodruff, Road, Suite E-2 (Directions)
Cash, check, Visa, Mastercard and Discover accepted. Open to
Friends Members only. Memberships may be purchased at the door.

Donate

Support your library! Bring your book donations to any library
location. We happily accept donations of usable materials for our
book sales – hardcover and softcover books, audio books, CDs and
DVDs. Just take them to your nearest Greenville County Library
branch. Receipts will be given upon request. We cannot accept
magazines, newspapers, VHS tapes, textbooks (unless new or old
enough to be considered vintage) and encyclopedias more than five
years old.
