The Inklings: Lewis, Tolkien and Their Circle

Highlights of the exhibit include:
- First editions of The Chronicles of Narnia and The Lord of the Rings
- The original three slim volumes of Lewis’s BBC broadcasts during World War II that were published later in one volume as Mere Christianity
- First editions of Tolkien’s little known children’s stories
- Original letters from several of the Inklings and their friends; including Charles Williams, Dorothy L. Sayers, Lord David Cecil and Adam Fox
- Original photographs of Tolkien and Hugo Dyson in Merton College where they were fellows
- Artifacts associated with Lewis, Tolkien and other Inklings from their colleges
- Autographed copies of books by many of the Inklings
- Posters and other ephemera from the movies based on Inklings stories
- Military badges from the units in which the Inklings served during World War I
- Artifacts from The Kilns, the home of C. S. Lewis
