There are many ways you can support the Greenville County Library System: from volunteering to help during Summer Reading to joining the Friends of the Library to donating funds for books and programs.

We sincerely appreciate all the individuals, organizations and businesses that support the library system through their monetary and in-kind gifts.

The Friends of the Library is a volunteer organization that supports the library by promoting programs and services and raising funds. The Friends hold used book sales in the spring and fall and staff a gift shop year-round in the Hughes Main Library. Members of the Friends get the library system’s newsletter, Access, mailed to their home, receive a discount at the Friends Shop, and can attend the Members Only night at the book sales.

Volunteers serve in many capacities at all library locations. They assist the staff in maintaining the library collection as well as delivering programs and services to library users.
