It’s May 28th, and we’re gathered here again
For our Summer Reading Kickoff.
The year is 2010.
Oh, we’ve walked like huge elephants
With arm-trunks a sway.
We’ve trumpeted our voices,
Led by the great Roger Day.

We’ve parachuted from our planes
And drifted down to land.
We’ve twirled around and round again
‘Til we almost couldn’t stand.
We’ve made Mosquito Burritos
And taken a big bite.
We’ve been monkeys, soaring birds,
And rolly-pollies, curled up tight.

We did Sing Loud.
We did Jump High.
We danced a joyful jig.
Thank you, thank you, Roger Day.
We’ll continue to Dream Big!
