Daycares, Summer Recreation Classes and Other Groups – Please Note!
Due to high program attendance during summer months, we have scheduled special performances of the following summer specials at the Hughes Main Library for group attendance: Mad Science (Monday, June 13), Susana and Timmy Abell (Monday, June 20), Grey Seal Puppets (Tuesday, July 19) and Animal Magic (Friday, July 29). Check individual listings for times. Groups of 5 or more should call 527-9248 for a reservation. There is no special group performance for Bubble Lady. Groups of 5 or more should call only the Augusta Road (277-0161) or Travelers Rest (834-3650) locations for a reservation. Groups that do not have prior library permission to attend a program will be denied admission. Groups will not be permitted to attend any other performances for these summer specials.
Morning summer specials replace all regularly scheduled morning story times. Seating is limited due to fire code regulations.

Explore the properties of laser light. Watch as the laser light "bends,” bounces and zooms around the room. See the Mad Scientist make indoor lightning while conducting hair-raising experiments with his electro-static generator! See a colorful display of electricity with glowing static balls.
