Top Ten Election and Politics WebsitesThe following “top ten” election and politics websites contain timely, useful background information on the electoral process in the United States as well as biographical profiles, voting records and positions on issues, speeches and campaign ads, and campaign finance and contribution information for the various candidates for President of the United States in the 2008 election. You will also find frequently updated elections statistics and results allowing you to chart the progress of candidates in the both the primaries and the general election. Finally, you will a couple of “fact checking” websites that attempt to verify the truthfulness or accuracy of statements made by various candidates throughout the 2008 election campaign season. These “top ten” were chosen specifically for their educational, nonpartisan approach to the political process.
