To access NetLibrary (eAudiobooks)

Outside the library

  • Patron must have a valid Greenville County Library System card number and PIN. You must enter this information at the prompt to reach the eAudiobooks website.
  • First time User must create an account on NetLibrary (eAudiobooks) website. This account information will be used to access the services on NetLibrary.
  • Ready to Search? Search eAudiobooks
  • Already have a NetLibrary account? Go to eAudiobooks Center

Inside the library

Note: Users do not use their library card number and PIN to access NetLibrary (eAudiobooks) account.

  • First time User must create an account on NetLibrary (eAudiobooks) website. This account information will be used to access the services on NetLibrary. Once the account is created the user will access eAudionbooks with the new account username and password. Create an Account

Checking out eAudiobooks

Once you have created a NetLibrary account, you can checkout and download an eAudiobook to your personal computer. eAudiobooks may be transferred to 2 additional portable listening devices.

Can I Renew an eAudiobook?

Once an eAudiobook has been downloaded, it can be renewed at any time. eAudiobooks may be renewed once for an additional 21 days from date of renewal.

How Do I Download an eAudiobook?

  1. ClickDownload this eAudiobook in your search results at the Audiobook Center.
  2. Choose your download options:
    • CD quality: high-fidelity playback for patrons with high-speed Internet access.
    • Radio Quality: faster download speed. Ideal for patrons with dial-up connections.
      You cannot transfer radio quality books to portable media players. Radio quality selections can only be listened to on the computer to which you downloaded the book selection.
  3. Choose to Save or Open your eAudiobook:
    • The Save option (recommended) downloads the book to your computer. Once the download is complete, you can open the eAudiobook directly from your Media Player or by using Windows Explorer. Your book selection can also now be transferred to your portable listening device.
    • Open the eAudiobook file on your personal computer in a Temporary directory, launching your Media Player. It can be difficult to later find the eAudiobook files using this method.

Can I Download an eAudiobook to a Library Computer?

eAudiobook downloads are not currently enabled on Greenville County Library System public computers.
