Alliance Francaise du Piedmont

Alliance Francaise du Piedmont is dedicated to the promotion of French culture and language through social and cultural events. It is a nonprofit organization which meets monthly with speakers, films, or social activities. The Alliance also donates time and money to the schools to encourage the teaching of French.

American Legion Post 3 – War Museum

Visit the American Legion War Museum to learn more about Greenville's rich military heritage. During the Spanish American War there was an army camp in Greenville called Camp Wetherill. World War I saw the establishment of an army training camp in Greenville known as Camp Sevier. During World War II the Greenville Army Air Base saw the training of B-25 crews.  Following World War II (until 1963) Donaldson Air Force Base was home to the 63rd Troop Carrier Squadron and their C-124 Globemasters. Individuals having information or items concerning the above mentioned military sites are invited to contact the Museum Curator. Individuals doing research on the military history of the United States are invited to come by the museum and visit the growing library.

Bob Jones University Museum and Gallery

The BJU Museum and Gallery houses one of the most important collections of religious art in America. The Gallery contains 30 galleries displaying European sacred art from the 13th-19th centuries and includes important works of many major artists.

Dances of Universal Peace – Peaceworks

The Dances of Universal Peace are multicultural circle dances from the many traditions of the Earth that promote peace and integration within individuals and groups worldwide. There are no performers and no audience. All dances are taught, and no prior experience is necessary. Dances are held quarterly at equinoxes and solstices at 7:00 pm at Safe Haven Retreat Center, 242 Old River Road, Pelzer.

Kilgore-Lewis House

The Kilgore-Lewis House (built circa 1838) is set on a sloping terrain, overlooking a restored spring, a pond, and extensive gardens which are certified as a backyard wildlife habitat. The house serves as the headquarters for the Greenville Council of Garden Clubs, Inc., and is open for tours Monday through Friday, from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. The House and Grounds may be rented for special occasions such as weddings, receptions, dinners, and other family gatherings as well as for business seminars and social events.
