Alliance Francaise du Piedmont

Alliance Francaise du Piedmont is dedicated to the promotion of French culture and language through social and cultural events. It is a nonprofit organization which meets monthly with speakers, films, or social activities. The Alliance also donates time and money to the schools to encourage the teaching of French.

American Legion Post 3 – War Museum

Visit the American Legion War Museum to learn more about Greenville's rich military heritage. During the Spanish American War there was an army camp in Greenville called Camp Wetherill. World War I saw the establishment of an army training camp in Greenville known as Camp Sevier. During World War II the Greenville Army Air Base saw the training of B-25 crews.  Following World War II (until 1963) Donaldson Air Force Base was home to the 63rd Troop Carrier Squadron and their C-124 Globemasters. Individuals having information or items concerning the above mentioned military sites are invited to contact the Museum Curator. Individuals doing research on the military history of the United States are invited to come by the museum and visit the growing library.

Bob Jones University Museum and Gallery

The BJU Museum and Gallery houses one of the most important collections of religious art in America. The Gallery contains 30 galleries displaying European sacred art from the 13th-19th centuries and includes important works of many major artists.

Carolina Ballet Theatre

The Carolina Ballet Theatre is the upstate’s only professional dance company offering several productions throughout the year. The company also provides the Greenville community with the School of Carolina Ballet Theatre.

Centre Stage – South Carolina

Centre Stage is a professional, not-for-profit theatre that specializes in bringing the most current award-winning plays to Greenville.

Confederate History Museum

The Confederate History Museum has numerous artifacts and displays portraying
the war and home life in the south from 1861-1865.

Dances of Universal Peace – Peaceworks

The Dances of Universal Peace are multicultural circle dances from the many traditions of the Earth that promote peace and integration within individuals and groups worldwide. There are no performers and no audience. All dances are taught, and no prior experience is necessary. Dances are held quarterly at equinoxes and solstices at 7:00 pm at Safe Haven Retreat Center, 242 Old River Road, Pelzer.

Greer Cultural Arts Council

The mission of the Greer Cultural Arts Council is to serve the Greater
Greer Community by establishing and making available performing arts
opportunities. The council strives to assemble existing talent and discover,
attract, and develop new performers.

Greenville Storytellers Guild

The Greenville Storytellers Guild is a local organization dedicated to perpetuating folk tales, fantasy, literature, history, and imagination through the medium of storytelling.

The Greer Heritage Museum displays historical artifacts related to Greer and its surrounding area. The museum also hosts programs, workshops and special displays.

History Museum of the Upstate – Historic Greenville Foundation

The Upcountry History Museum is an interactive center with permanent exhibits, community-wide programs, school outreach programs, and an oral history project that enables visitors to discover the past and present of the Upcountry area.

India Association of Greater Greenville

The India Association of Greater Greenville is a nonprofit organization that organizes various cultural and community service activities of interest to its members and the larger Greenville Community.

International Center of the Upstate

The International Center of the Upstate is a nonprofit cultural organization devoted to promoting cross-cultural understanding among the local and international residents of Upstate South Carolina. The Center provides social events, language classes in English and 6 other languages, orientations for international newcomers, educational workshops, and business services. The Center also promotes the activities of the various international organizations of the Upstate.

Irish Cara Club

The Irish Cara Club promotes Irish arts and culture in the Upstate of South Carolina and brings together persons of Irish heritage for friendship and social activities.

Italian-American Club of Greater Greenville

The Italian-American Club of Greater Greenville promotes cultural relations while providing fellowship and special events as well as supporting charity endeavors.

Kilgore-Lewis House

The Kilgore-Lewis House (built circa 1838) is set on a sloping terrain, overlooking a restored spring, a pond, and extensive gardens which are certified as a backyard wildlife habitat. The house serves as the headquarters for the Greenville Council of Garden Clubs, Inc., and is open for tours Monday through Friday, from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. The House and Grounds may be rented for special occasions such as weddings, receptions, dinners, and other family gatherings as well as for business seminars and social events.

Metropolitan Arts Council

The Metropolitan Arts Council stimulates and supports artistic expression and its appreciation and enjoyment in ways that enrich all citizens, artists, cultural organizations, and communities of the Upstate.

The Peace Center presents the world's finest performing artists, sustains state-of-the-art venues, and provides quality services to support local arts organizations while fostering life-long appreciation for the arts through comprehensive education and outreach programs.

Piedmont American Indian Association. Lower Eastern Cherokee Nation

The mission of the Piedmont American Indian Association is to be a source of information for the public and a social contact for Indian people and for people
who have an interest in Indian culture; to be a visual presence of Indians in the
Upstate; and to offer cultural and social activities for Indian people of all nations.
The Tribal Office in Laurens has a museum, craft store, and library.

Sisters In Crime

Meetings are open to the public (men and women) who are interested in writing or reading mysteries and are curious about various forensic and law enforcement topics. Guest speakers have included coroners, FBI agents, forensic pathologists, sheriffs, arson investigators, and regional authors.
