Holmes Bible College has as its beginning a ten-day Bible institute, led by the Rev. N.J. Holmes and conducted on top of Paris Mountain in 1896. It is recorded that on October 1, 1898, the first term of Holmes Bible College began. After moving to Atlanta, Georgia, the institute moved back to its original home on top of Paris Mountain. In the winter of 1915, the institute's trustees felt it would benefit the school if it were located in the city. Therefore, it was moved to the corner of Buncombe St. and Briggs Ave. where it is currently located but is soon to be relocated to accommodate the creation of the Western Connector.

Depart from Heritage Green Place. Turn right onto Buncombe ST. At the fork of Rutherford St. and Buncombe St., take the left fork and continue on Buncombe St. The college will be on the left.
