Center Collection
The Foundation Center, an independent national service organization, specializes in providing information on foundations and corporate giving to non-profits.
The Greenville County Library System is a Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center and has been selected to provide public access to a core collection of Foundation Center books and databases including the following:

- Foundation
Directory Online Professional
provides subscribers with access to an unprecedented wealth of timely, comprehensive information on grantmakers and their grants. Included is a database of the entire universe of over 100,000 foundations, corporate giving programs, and grantmaking public charities in the U. S.; a database of over 4,000 sponsoring companies, offering a quick pathway to corporate funders; a database of over 2.4 million recently awarded grants; and a keyword-searchable database of over 700,000 recently filed IRS Forms 990 and 990-PF. This database is accessible from computers in all Greenville County System locations.

Grants to Individuals Online
focuses on foundations that make direct grants to individuals. The types of support include a wide range of purposes such as scholarships, students loans, fellowships, program development, internships, professorships, arts and cultural projects, research, awards/grants by nomination only and general welfare. This database is accessible from computers at all Greenville County Library System locations.
- Philanthropy In/Sight
allows users to quickly create maps that reveal patterns of giving and funding relationships. The demographic data in Philanthropy In/Sight comes from a variety of sources, including the American Human Development Project of the Social Science Research Council, the United Nations Development Programme's annual Human Development Report (HDR), the World Bank's Data Catalog, This database is accessible from computers in the Hughes Library with staff assistance.
