The Friends of the Greenville County Library is a non-profit organization that raises funds to enhance library programs and services and purchase materials. This year the Friends have committed nearly $80,000 in financial support to the library. Money is raised through semi-annual used book sales, grants, membership dues and the Friends Gift Shop, which operates year-round at the Hughes Main Library. Join the Friends of the Library for another great year!

The Friends of the Library provide financial support for such things as:

• Scholarships for library employees
• Outreach to teachers
• Library equipment
• Children’s programs

As a Friends member you

• Receive the Library System's calendar of events in the mail
• May attend members-only opening nights of the Friends Book Sales
• Receive a 10% discount on all purchases at the Friends Shop in the Hughes Main Library
