Friday, June 5, 10:00a-11:00aMauldin (W. Jack Greer) Branch, Outside Calling all Dog Trainers! Does your dog have aspirations of fame? Does he show off every chance he gets? Jumping, twirling, doing back flips? Does she spend hours in front of the mirror admiring her beautiful bushy tail; her strong, graceful legs; her elegantly long schnoz? If so, then you should come on down for the Dog Days of Summer! On June 5th Mauldin Library (otherwise known as the W. Jack Greer branch) will host its annual Dog Days of Summer dog show. This is definitely the place to showcase your dog’s most winning assets! Categories will include: biggest dog, smallest dog, longest tail, shortest tail, best costume and best trick. There will also be a very special presentation and demonstration by the Greenville Humane Society. The show will begin at 10:00am on the lawn of the Mauldin Library. Entrants must be at least 8 years of age (the human entrants, not the dog entrants), and must be accompanied by an adult. Entrants (again, human entrants, not dog entrants) are also required to have a signed waiver and release signed by a parent or guardian, and each dog absolutely must have evidence of current rabies immunization. If you think your dog has what it takes to be a wiener, (just a little dachshund humor, there) join us on Friday, June 5. We’ll have a doggone good time! Registration is required! Spectators welcome – no registration required. Call the Mauldin Branch Library, 864-277-7397, or email Emily (elammy@greenvillelibrary.org) for details and registration! |
