Our program series concludes with an overview of baseball during the Depression and World War II periods and how it helped keep spirits high during difficult times. Dr. Abel Bartley joins us to introduce the women’s leagues - how it was one of the ways baseball was able to survive the loss of so many able-bodied men to the war effort.
